YEAR 7 COOKING – 

Year 7 students have been exploring why breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as it allows the body to ‘break the fast’ that occurred overnight. For some, the human body has gone without food, water and nutrients for 12 – 14 hours, so breakfast is a way of ‘refuelling’ the system. A good breakfast should contain a balanced variety of food from all food groups. The most common components of a nutritious breakfast is Fruit, Whole Grain Cereal, Dairy, Eggs and/or some meats.
