Game 1: Chanel v Rocky Grammar
The under 15 Boys Rugby Union team came up against a tough Rockhampton Grammar team.
The team was slightly shell shocked with the physicality and speed which the Rockhampton Grammar team attacked the ball. Rocky scored 3 quick tries within the first 15 minutes. The 1st half ended 20 – 0.
The Chanel team hit the ground running in the second half, realising what is needed to dominate the game. Special mention must go to the Chanel team scrum, which dominated the majority of the game. Chanel outscored the opposition in the second half. Chanel scored 22 points in the second half and Rocky scored 17.
The final whistle blew with the score 37 – 22 to Rockhampton Grammar. The game was played with immense passion and physicality. The Chanel team can be commended on their effort and determination, they never gave in and gave it their all every second of the match.
