The world of tertiary education and work are changing rapidly and as such, it is vital that students are aware of the benefits of multiskilling and adaptability.

Careers education is an important means by which we raise student awareness about possibilities post-secondary school.  It is also an important way in which we prepare young people for a successful transition from secondary school into further education, training or employment.

Through participation in careers education programs, students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will allow them to make informed decisions about their study and work options post-school.

At Chanel College, our careers education program aims to help our student develop an awareness of their individual interests, skills, abilities and values and to identify how these may be related to potential future career options.

Our Head of Futures and Partnerships, Mrs. Melissa Whalley, and Careers Counsellor, Mrs. Leanne Crane, work with students to ensure that they have access to opportunities to learn about career pathways and to participate in workshops and presentations. The Careers office also offers students a wide variety of resources about tertiary and vocational pathways.
