ADINA HEADED TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Year 7 student, Adina Philpott will be attending the School Sports Australian National Championships in Hervey Bay as part of the Aquathlon Queensland Invitational Regional Team.

Aquathlon involves a 1klm run followed by a 200m swim, followed by a 1klm run. Adina started competing in Aquathlon at 9 years of age. In 2019 she attended the Hervey Bay Triathlon Festival and Won the Aquathlon section for the 10-12yo girls. This got her into the Capricornia Team where she competed in the Qld State Trials in Feb 2020. From the 98 starters in the 10-12yo girls, Adina came in 26th. Adina was then chosen for the upcoming Aquathlon Queensland Invitational Regional Team.
